UGGS Europe x Madwomen: Punk and Noir

UGGS Europe x Madwomen just released a new campaign and we’re so here for it.

It’s not often that we are able to witness black women being represented in an “alternative” inspired type of fashion even if they’ve always been around.

Black female punk icons such as Poly Styrene from band X-Ray Spex, Skin from Skunk Anansie, Tina Bell from Bam Bam, Nova Twins, Gabriella Logan from The Txlips and many more, have always held an incredible importance in terms of punks representation for black girls.

This time it was a huge fashion brand like UGGS who decided to bring light to this possibility of a black woman and we are just really happy to see it.

The amazing photos were taken by Marien Stahluth, the styling was made by Ann Sophie Koe and Elli Drake while the beautiful black punk queens protagonist of the shoot are Whitney Kiala, Mugatu and Mariama Ndure.
