YSB Tril Is The New Hip-Hop Hottest Rookie To Look Out For
Tae Riley, better known by his stage name YSB Tril, is a rising rap artist from the small town of Clayton, just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Thanks to an excellent work ethic and the strong desire to reach the top, YSB Tril have gained over 6 million streams independently before signing with labels Interscope Records/ Listen To The Kids. He’s demonstrating his strength as Hip-Hop’s hottest rookie and he’s definitely here to make a mark in the industry. Inspired and influenced by Roddy Ricch and Juice WRLD, making music was always the plan but being incredibly successful at it came as a surprise yet expectection due to his constant hard work. The 2021 hit song “Count Me In" was featured on the Madden 22 Soundtrack along with Jack Harlow, Swae Lee, Moneybagg Yo and more.
Previous to that, he had released the singles ``Ain't the Same '' and “Touchdown,” featuring Bankrol Hayden, and reaching record streams globally.

The great success of “Touchdown” also came from the sports world when the NBA and Toronto Raptors used it before tip-off during the regular season. The visual aspect of his work it's very important, as he always strives to create original and artistic content by being, most of the time, the mind behind each concept. His first full-length project “HOTSHOT” was released in 2021 and it includes some of his most heartfelt and intimate lyrics. We had the honor to chat with YSB Tril over a Zoom Call, enjoy! Who would you most like to collaborate with? Probably with an old school singer like Aaliyah. What is your favorite song from the album Hotshot? “All alone” is super underrated, maybe because it's the last song on the tape. Is there a reason why it is the last song? When I’m on a project, I listen to it from front to back and it just made sense to put it in the last spot..as a vibe. But I’m gonna take that more into account for my next project.

Who gave you the support at the very beginning? The biggest support was from one of my homies and if I didn't have him, I probably wouldn't have had the motivation to keep it going. You know how it is if you go to the gym alone you don't have the motivation as you would with somebody else. How would you describe your perfect day? Waking up in some tropical place like Hawaii.. I like my alone time, I”m one of those people that get my energy from being alone by myself, so like taking some walks, chilling and making music makes sense to me. Do you have a creative process when you write your music?
I feel like I get my creative process from daily inspirations, from situations that happen randomly during the day, like stories that my homie would tell me during the day. I really get inspiration from everything.
